Rev. Patrick M. Freeman, Sr., a native of Birmingham, Alabama, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church from birth until 1995. Rev. Patrick M. Freeman served in several different ministries and churches while being relocated to different states as an Investigator.
In 2012 Rev. Freeman joined Mc Calla Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church under Pastor Rev. Nathaniel and Rev. Marie Green in Bessemer, AL. He served for two years as a Local Preacher and bible study teacher on Wednesday nights. In 2014, he was appointed as the Pastor for Springhill A.M.E. Zion Church where he served as the Pastor until 2017. In September 2017, he transitioned to Weeping Mary A.M.E. Zion Church in Holt, AL and served as the Pastor until September 2020. In 2018, Rev. Freeman was also appointed as the Spiritual Formation Director for the Tuscaloosa- Bessemer District of the A.M.E. Zion Church under the leadership of Presiding Elder Rev. Dr. Jeffery L. Cammon and served in that role until the 2021 conference year.
On September 19, 2020, he was appointed to St. Peter A.M.E. Zion Church to serve as the Pastor with a commitment to lead the members and worship faithfully with them. Glory Be To God on High.
Rev. Freeman is very passionate about using active learning strategies in Bible Classes that are developmentally appropriate for children, teenagers, and even adults. He loves to conduct workshops for churches that help teachers to learn ways to actively engage in relevant and meaningful bible study.
